Mentors
Career Passport to Success has been developed to help motivate and coach young people preparing to enter the job market, trade training, or academic studies. The scheme places a strong emphasis on training students to set realistic goals, and achieve them! Your on-going mentoring and support will maximise the achievement of your mentees and equip them as best as possible for their chosen field of endeavour.
The Career Passport to Success mentoring scheme has been developed as eight steps which provide your mentee with opportunities to:
- stop at times and evaluate progress.
- complete a series of achievable targets, successful completion of which can be celebrated.
- record each target achieved in the Career Passport.
Career Passport to Success uses The Spirit of Mentoring by Robin Cox as the key reference for its youth mentoring scheme. The manual outlines the role of the mentor and provides you with a wide range of ideas and activities to use in your scheme.
The Career Passport to Success Mentors' Kit comprises:
- The Spirit of Mentoring by Robin Cox
- Mentors Handbook to Career Passport
- Sample Certificate
- Sample 'Passport'
